WHO I AM

Kat believes that who you are — your identity, your culture, your history, your community — is not separate from your healing. It is central to it. Her work as a therapist is grounded in deep compassion and culturally responsive care, shaped by a decolonial, trauma-informed framework that honors the full complexity of each person who walks through her door. She doesn't just see you as a client. She sees you as a whole person, with a story worth understanding.

Kat is also a bilingual therapist, offering sessions in both English and Spanish. For many clients, being able to speak in their first language isn't a small thing. It's everything.

WHO I WORK WITH

Kat works with adolescents, adults, and families navigating serious mental illness, trauma, mood disorders, and complex life transitions. She brings particular care and expertise to affirming LGBTQ+ individuals, and to supporting parents and caregivers of transgender and gender-nonconforming youth. People who are often doing incredibly hard work with very little support. If that's you, you'll find a safe, knowledgeable, and genuinely affirming space here.

MY APPROACH

Kat's style is collaborative and strengths-based. She's not here to tell you what's wrong with you, but to help you uncover what's already strong in you. Drawing on trauma-informed and decolonial frameworks, she works with you to understand how your experiences and the systems around you have shaped your life, and to build a path forward that feels true to who you are.

TRAINING & CREDENTIALS

Kat holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology. Her clinical experience spans serious mental illness, trauma, and work with diverse populations across a range of settings. She maintains ongoing training in LGBTQ+ affirming and trauma-informed care, because she believes that good therapist never stops learning.
