Sometimes the most powerful thing a therapist can do is show up, not in an office, but in the space where real life actually happens. In-home therapy brings the same professional, compassionate, evidence-based care you would receive in our offices directly to you, in the comfort and privacy of your own environment.

For many clients, being at home changes everything. There is no commute to manage, no waiting room to sit in, and no need to hold yourself together until you get there. You can simply be where you already are and let the work begin from there.

In-home therapy is especially well-suited for:

People in crisis or recently discharged from a hospital who need immediate, accessible support. New and postpartum parents who are navigating an enormous transition while managing the reality of leaving home. Individuals with chronic illness, limited mobility, or physical disabilities for whom travel creates a real barrier to care. Clients managing severe anxiety, agoraphobia, or trauma responses that make leaving home genuinely difficult. Parents of children with behavioral or developmental challenges, where seeing the home environment allows the clinician to offer practical, real-time strategies that actually fit your family's life. Walk + Talk Therapy Services

Walk + Talk Therapy blends traditional talk therapy with gentle movement in a safe, pre-agreed outdoor setting. Rather than sitting face to face across a room, you and your therapist walk side by side, a simple shift that can make an enormous difference in how open, grounded, and present you feel.

There is real clinical reasoning behind this. Movement activates both hemispheres of the brain in ways that can ease anxiety, support trauma processing, and help regulate the nervous system. For clients with ADHD, restless energy, or bodies that simply do not do well sitting still, walking can unlock conversations that a chair never could.

Walk + Talk Therapy is especially helpful for those who:

  • In-home and walk + talk services are available in select areas of New York City & Long Island. If you're not sure whether we can come to you, just reach out — we’ll be happy to explore your options together.

  • Much like in-office therapy, sessions are personalized to meet your needs. We’ll talk, explore challenges, and work toward your goals—but with the added benefit of seeing your environment firsthand. This can also allow us to integrate practical strategies for home routines, parenting, or other real-life situations in the moment.

  • We keep flexibility in mind. If the weather isn’t ideal (rain, extreme heat, or cold), we can:

    • Move the session indoors or switch to a virtual session.

    • Reschedule for another day.

    • Occasionally, we may still meet outdoors if you're comfortable with the conditions.

  • Not at all. Walk + Talk Therapy isn’t about exercise—it’s about creating a calm, natural environment for therapy. We’ll walk at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and we can stop, sit, or adjust the session at any time. Your comfort always comes first.
